Craig Weston is Professor of Music and chair of the Theory/History/Composition division at Kansas State University. His chamber, large ensemble, and electroacoustic music has been widely performed in the US and in Europe, and his prose writings have been published in several music journals. He has received awards, grants, and commissions for many organizations, including ASCAP, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Norwalk (Connecticut) Symphony, the Seattle Arts Commission, Pi Kappa Lambda, the University of Washington, the Iowa Music Teachers Association, the Kansas Music Teachers Association, the Bradley University New Music Ensemble, and the Hobart and William Smith Colleges. in 2008, he was able to compose for several weeks in a remote mountain community as Artist in Residence at North Cascades National Park. Parts of his catalog are published by RJ Upmarket Press, and his music can be heard on the Capstone and TimeGrabber Digital labels.
